- GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Veritas Gift Shop is operated by Veritas Fairs.
‘Agreement’ means the agreement for the supply and acquisition of gifts.
‘Client’ means the recipient of the services.
‘Fee’ means the charge for the gifts as set out in the order.
‘Gift(s)’ means any goods sold by Veritas Fairs under this agreement.
‘Order’ means a confirmed agreement for the supply of specified gifts.
‘Order Confirmation’ means the document in which the client’s gift requirements and the terms of delivery and payment are contained.
‘Personalising’ means individualising a client’s gifts by engraving, etching or embossing with a logo and or copy, or creating unique packaging for the client. - PLACING YOUR ORDER
Upon receiving a written gift request, Veritas Fairs will in the case of stock items accept the order once stock levels have been checked to ensure sufficient quantities are available to fill the order. Veritas Fairs will accept the request in writing, either electronically or by posted letter (in most cases the former will be the preferred method of communication).In the case of bespoke items, Veritas Fairs will accept the order once all fees for sampling and production have cleared, and production timescales have been agreed with the Client. - ALTERATION OF AN ORDER
It is understood that Veritas Fairs will fulfil the order in accordance with the information contained in the Order Confirmation. Should the client wish to change this order, Veritas will endeavour to make any necessary changes free of charge.Should the client wish to alter the order, and it is not possible to do so without Veritas Fairs incurring additional costs, Veritas Fairs shall be entitled to adjust the fee to take into account any change made to the order. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, changing bespoke gift packaging or altering engraving once the artwork has been approved by the client. - CANCELLING AN ORDER
Should a client wish to cancel an order for a gift, which is in stock and not to be personalised, Veritas Fairs will accept the cancellation in writing within 48 hours of the written order being received. The client may also cancel the order up to seven days after delivery, provided the gifts are not personalised and are returned in a saleable condition. The client will be liable for the original delivery charge.In the case of personalised gifts, the order may be cancelled within 48 hours of receiving the written order, as long as the gifts in question have not been personalised. Once the artwork has been approved either verbally or in writing by the client and gifts have been personalised, it will not be possible to cancel the order.Irrespective of the above, in the case of orders or part orders of items not in stock, which have to be specially ordered by Veritas Fairs, it will not be possible to cancel the order. - FEES
The client shall pay Veritas Fairs for the fee of the gifts, which will comprise the cost of the gifts and any personalising.A charge for delivery will also be levied against the client, this will be the delivery charge plus an administration fee.Veritas gift packaging will be provided free of charge. A fee will be charged for personalised/bespoke packaging.For personalised items there will be a one-off origination charge levied for engraving, embossing, and etching. For bespoke items, charges will be levied for hand samples and in the case of leather items charges will be made for pattern knives and hand samples. In the case of bespoke/personalised packaging, a one-off charge for a blocking die will be made. Veritas Fairs will seek client approval of all additional charges before any item is personalised. - INVOICING
For all orders placed via the Veritas Fairs website, payment will be taken at the time the order is placed.For orders under £100 we ask that payment be made by credit or debit card. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards.All other orders may be settled by BACS, company cheque or credit or debit card. Our payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoice.Veritas Fairs reserves the right to charge interest at 5% per annum above the base rate of Lloyds Bank plc for any fee remaining unpaid after 30 days until payment is receivedOwnership of gifts shall remain with Veritas Fairs until the fee in respect of those goods is paid. - THE CLIENTS OBLIGATION
The client, at its own expense, will provide any information required by Veritas Fairs to fulfil the Order.The client will be responsible for signing off any artwork or hand samples for bespoke or personalised gifts or packaging.The client will indemnify Veritas Fairs against all damages, expenses, losses or liability (including reasonable legal fees and costs) incurred by Veritas Fairs as a result of or in connection with the use of any copy or logos supplied by the Client. - VERITAS FAIRS OBLIGATION
Veritas Fairs will make every endeavour to deliver the order within in the time limits agreed by Veritas Fairs and the client.Veritas Fairs will obtain approval for all artwork and hand samples of personalised or bespoke gifts. Where verbal agreement is given to the above Veritas Fairs must receive written approval within 24 hours of the verbal agreement from the client.Veritas Fairs undertakes to replace any personalised orders, which are engraved, embossed or etched incorrectly, as a result of an error made by Veritas Fairs. Should there be insufficient stock of the gift, Veritas Fairs will offer a replacement at a similar value or the client may cancel their order at no cost to themselves.Where Veritas Fairs fulfils an order incorrectly, we will rectify it as soon as is practicable.We take your privacy very seriously and our goal is to protect your information. We will at all times comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes in to force on the 25th May 2018, to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept appropriately secure and processed fairly and lawfully.Please refer to our Privacy Statement at anytime for full details of how we collect, store and protect your personal information.
- TROPHY ENGRAVING / REPAIR / REFURBISHMENT
Engraving, repair and refurbishment of an existing client trophy will be undertaken on a CIF basis (cost insurance freight). - COPYRIGHT
